Who am I?
Ah, the age-old existential question.
I could go on for hours.
But you'd stop reading after the third paragraph.


I'm the product of an incredibly supportive and eccentric family, a lot of pop culture absorption, and a compulsive lying habit. I am damaged goods with a ten-thousand-watt smile and I give really good advice to my friends. I am a fat chick who loves shopping, a nonsmoker who loves barhopping, and someone who lives for music in every sense of the phrase. I watch crap TV and horror movies incessantly and I aspire to either create special effects for movies or work with bands in a managing/touring capacity. I've been a music journalist, an Internet model, a bookstore clerk, a copyeditor, a public relations liason, a college dropout, and a syndicated newspaper columnist, all in the past six years of my life. I'm friends with lots of interesting people but always looking to meet more. I gave up on high-school drama a long time ago and am not interested in adding more of it to my life. I am a loyal friend and a good confidant. I'm single and the perfect example of a raving Gemini with repeating patterns of depression and self-loathing. I'm trying to fix myself.

I think this journal can help.

A friend of mine said, "No offense, but it's time to shit or get off the pot." At the time it was easy to say "Yeah, yeah, I know." But the more you turn something like that over in your head, the more true it rings.

I'm an adult now. I'm in charge of me. There are no excuses anymore.
